Including Cheer Abilities athlete, Grace, who took home first place

(BELLEVILLE, ON, Mar. 27, 2024) – On Saturday, March 23rd, 2024, Pegasus Cheer athletes competed at the Ontario Cup competition in Brampton. Three teams and an individual athlete competed, earning the following placements:

  • Indy Grace (Open Cheer Abilities, ages 16+) – First Place
  • Sapphire (All Star Prep U12 Level 1, ages 8 to 12) – Fifth Place
  • Ruby (Novice U8 Level 1, ages 5 to 8) – Outstanding Performance
  • Emerald (Novice U12 Level 1, ages 8 to 12) – Outstanding Performance

Held at the CAA Centre in Brampton, Ontario Cup provided teams the opportunity to show their upgraded routines before their final competition in Hamilton on April 7th. This competition also marked Indy Grace’s first competition of the season.

“We are so proud of Indy Grace. She’s been working hard all season and to place first at her first competition is a big accomplishment,” says Melissa Ouellet, coach of Emerald and Indy Grace. “This is Grace’s 10th season at Pegasus Cheer. We’ve loved seeing her develop as an athlete, celebrating her wins on and off the mats, and helping her accomplish her goals.”
