INTRO TO CHEERLEADING

Has your child always wanted to be a cheerleader? They will love our introduction to cheerleading class called Cheer 101. In Cheer 101, athletes learn the FUNdamentals of cheerleading including motions, dance, jumps, stunts, and tumbling. This 45-minute recreational class runs once a week on Wednesdays. It encourages exploration and learning of the sport of cheerleading. We know your athlete will fall in love with cheer! Suitable for all athletes ages 6 and up!

SUMMER REC CHEER

Looking to try a new sport? Our Summer Rec Cheer team is the perfect place for your child! This 8-week team (July 8th to August 26th) practices once a week on Mondays from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Athletes will learn the basics of performance cheer, including motions, jumps, and floor positions. This team will learn a mini routine and showcase their new skills to their friends and family at their final practice. Great for beginners and those with some cheer experience. Suitable for boys and girls ages 6 to 12 years old!

FULL YEAR CHEER

At Pegasus Cheer, we offer three different team experiences — Novice, Allstar Prep, and Allstar Elite. Team streams range in time, financial, competitive, and family commitment.

Anyone interested in joining a competitive team is guaranteed a spot on one of our Novice teams. Anyone interested in joining an All Star Prep or All Star Elite team must complete an assessment.

SEASONAL NOVICE TEAMS

Want to see what the competitive world of cheerleading is all about but not sure if a full-year team is right for you? Our Seasonal Novice team is perfect for those who want to try competitive cheer on a lower commitment basis. These teams practice once per week from September through March and perform at two events.

RECREATIONAL CHEER TEAM

Perfect for the cheerleader in your life! Our new recreational cheer team teaches athletes ages 4 to 12 and 13 to 17 all the basics of cheer, including motions, jumps, and stunts. This team learns a 1-minute routine from January to April before performing it at our local Showcase, Wings Up.

INDYS & DUOS

Pegasus Cheer also offers competitive Indys and Duos.  These 1 1/2 minutes routines focus on jumps, tumbling, and dance.  Training and competition schedule are flexible!

ADULT TEAM

Exclusive to athletes ages 18 and older, this low-pressure, high-fun team is perfect for those looking to learn more about the sport of cheer, those wanting a less competitive schedule, and those looking to get back into the sport!

Athletes do not need previous experience in cheerleading, dance, gymnastics, or tumbling to participate. All abilities, genders, and experience levels are welcome.

This competitive team practices once per week for 1.5 hours from January to April 2024. They learn a 1-minute routine from January to April before performing it at our local Showcase, Wings Up.

CHEERLEADING SPECIAL ABILITIES

At Pegasus Cheer Athletics we offer:

  • Competitive cheerleading and pom teams or individual routines for athletes with special needs
  • Recreational cheerleading for athletes with special needs
  • Open to any athlete, age 3 & older, with an intellectual disability, with or without a physical disability
  • Extra coaches, coaches in training, and athlete assistants will be allowed on the floor with the athletes when they compete
  • Same training as other athletes with careful consideration of any limitations necessary for safe participation
